Aria Kat Art

Hello! 

I am Aria Kat and I am a Caye Caulker, Belize based artist creating colorful Caribbean works of art. 

I grew up in a city with a lot of history and beautiful art galleries, and have loved
art all of my life. I remember being a little girl staring at a painting on a wall and being completely fascinated. From that moment on, I knew that I needed to
become an artist.

However, my initial fear of becoming a ‘starving artist’ drove me to study
Journalism, Public Relations, and Business Administration at universities in
Germany and the United States, which put me on a path that I didn’t really want to follow. After a career in several corporate positions, I made the somewhat scary decision to begin chasing my dream of living on a Caribbean island and sharing my art with others. There have been moments of frustration and uncertainty, but my passion and determination keep me creating the art I love.

My expat life and travels, for fun and for business, have exposed me to many different cultures and artists and inspired me to create colorful works of art that are aimed at simply making people feel happy.

This also showed the second you set foot into my small gallery at The Split in Caye Caulker. The work of all the artists that I represent is cheerful, colorful and made the gallery my little “happy place”.

Pursuing my dream has been the best decision I have ever made and nothing gives me greater joy and fulfillment than living on this Belizean island and sharing my art with others!
